This book is simply wonderful.
Amélie Boucher explores and analyzes dozens of applications, many of them very well known to the general public and used daily. She examines them in depth, which means that even people who design applications every day will inevitably learn something from it. This is not my first book on UX, and I absolutely do not regret reading it. The book is quick, clear, and concise.

I did not expect such a high-quality work when I first saw the cover—it is perhaps the least successful aspect of the book.
The book approaches mobile design through several chapters:
- A sensory experience
- Content and navigation on mobile
- Experience at the heart of mobile interaction
- The experience of waiting
- User education and engagement
- An emotional experience
However, I do have one regret: the book focuses only on smartphones. Personally, I use my iPad daily in mobile contexts. My usage is quite different from how I use my iPhone and my MacBook Pro. I hope the next edition will take this format into account.
Buy it with your eyes closed. 😉
